Nonprofits and faith-based organizations fill a critical gap in the state?s network of facilities that serve those facing life struggles, but these organizations face an increasing number of challenges. In order to strengthen these important organizations, State Controller John Chiang, and CRCC, USC Cecil Murray Center for Community Engagement will host a free seminar to provide organizations with tools and resources to be successful and stable. Some of the topics to be discussed are successful financial management of a nonprofit, accounting issues for nonprofit organizations, welfare, property tax exemption and sales, among others.
